Holiday Family & Friends Funspiel
HOLIDAY FAMILY & FRIENDS FUNSPIEL - Saturday, September 28 - 4 p.m.
Our annual Family & Friends Funspiel is back. Bring your visiting family and friends for a mini funspiel on Saturday, December 28. We will play two games and have some snacks and fun between and after our games. Cost is $10 per person. Let is know in the comment section who you would like to play with, we will mix up teams for those who are registering solo or in groups smaller than 4.
2025 Playdown Men's & Women's - Everest Curling Club Championship
- Begins: Men's Jan 3-5, 2025, Women's Jan 10-12, 2025. Additional dates to be determined by the club based on the number of teams registered.
- Deadline to register is 9am December 9, 2024.
- Entry fee of $100 per team
- Register as a team. Must list players for this event including a 5th if you choose to have one.

- The current moratorium on brush heads is in effect and all competitors must have legal brush heads
- Winner (and possibly 2nd/3rd place teams) will represent Mayflower at the NS Provincial Curling Club Championship (Men's at Lakeshore Mar 5-9 & Women's in Digby Mar 20-23, 2025).
Winter Development League 2025
The development league is open to non-members and members with the aim of developing skills on the ice in a relaxed and social environment. This is a great opportunity for anyone whether you have only curled once or twice, recently finished the learn to curl program, or have curled for a few years and want to try out a different position or you're just looking for something fun to do on Saturday afternoon!
This league is individual sign up - teams will be made up each Saturday before the draw. However, if you have others you want to play with we'll do our best to ensure you are assigned to a team together each week.
Equipment is provided thanks to support from Sport Nova Scotia. Just be sure to bring a pair of clean sneakers and warm and comfortable clothing!
Games will run each of the following Saturdays from 3:00PM-5:00PM:

February 8
February 15
March 8
March 11
Participants are welcome to enjoy the upstairs bar and lounge following their game.

Club Information
Founded in 1905, the Mayflower Curling Club is a landmark in Halifax's rich history. In 1912 the ice shed was used as a morgue for victims of the infamous Titanic sinking, and just five years later the club was destroyed in the devastating Halifax explosion. The Mayflower, which houses six sheets of ice for leagues of all levels, is one of the most well-known clubs in Canada. We embrace all levels of curling from beginners to competitive and we hope to see you on the ice soon.
