The Mayflower Women's Day Curling are not just a group of women who curl on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. They are an eclectic, energetic group with a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
To be a member of the Mayflower Women's Day Curling is to be part of a very active social scene. We open our season with a luncheon and hold several social events throughout the year…all involving food, fun and fellowship! Enjoy our Hallowe'en party complete with costumes, a Christmas luncheon of wonderful holiday food, a Valentines Potluck and St. Patrick’s Day festivities with Irish Coffee. Around Christmas we have a fundraising bake and book sale and provide support for Adsum House. We close out the season with presentations to our trophy winners at our closing AGM and luncheon.
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning after curling we retire to the comfortable Meyers Lounge to enjoy coffee and treats. Each member takes a turn at providing snacks for these coffee socials. It’s a wonderful atmosphere with a great group of welcoming women. Some are new to curling and others have been playing for decades. For new curlers, we offer free clinics on a semi-regular basis, where one of our veteran curlers will help you improve your game.
If you are already a member of the Mayflower and curl at night, you might consider joining the Women's Day Curling . You could sign up as a spare if you don’t want to commit for a specific day. Just think of the fun you’re missing. Come out and give it a try!
