In case you haven’t heard, the membership has endorsed the Board’s recommendation to proceed with the plan for the new facility in Timberlea!

As we embark on an exciting chapter in the history of the Mayflower Curling Club, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Membership Engagement Campaign. This marks a pivotal moment in our Club's journey, where each member's contribution becomes an integral part of the legacy we aim to build. Our new state-of-the-art facility is not just a dream; it's a vision that hinges on the support and enthusiasm of our beloved members.

The Vision: Transformation Begins

Here at the Mayflower, we envision a future where our members experience the game they love in a cutting-edge facility. Our new home aims to cater to all members, from our youngest enthusiasts to seasoned veterans, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels at home. This facility isn't just about bricks and mortar; it's about creating an enduring legacy that transcends generations.

How Members Can Contribute: Building Together

Your contribution to our cause is more than a financial gift; it's an investment in the enduring spirit of our Club. Whether through individual donations, designating funds for specific items, contributions through estates or life insurance policies, or some sort of collective family donation to recognize a family’s generational involvement at the Mayflower, your support drives us closer to our $150,000 goal for direct member contributions. Explore avenues for contributions and see how your generosity will shape our future.

National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF): All donations through the National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF) web site should be directed to “Mayflower Curling Club – New Facility Construction” on the website's drop-down menu. All tax-deductible contributions are subject to a 4% processing fee. The website asks contributors if they would like to gross up their donation to cover the 4% processing fee.

Credit card donations can be made through the National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF) web site. Contributions of $20 or more can generate a charitable tax receipt.

We are open to estate or life insurance policy contributions. Contact us for guidance.

The Importance of Member Support: Every Contribution Counts

Each donation, regardless of size, represents a critical building block in realizing our shared dream. By participating in our Member Engagement Campaign, you're not just supporting a new facility; you're fostering community, inclusivity, and the growth of our beloved sport. Your support echoes the pride and commitment you have towards Mayflower Curling Club.

Recognition and Acknowledgment: Celebrating Your Generosity

Your contribution to our cause will be recognized and celebrated. From acknowledgment on our donor wall for significant contributions of $5000 or more, to naming opportunities on designated items below, your generosity will be immortalized as part of our Club's history. All contributors, unless requested to remain anonymous, will be acknowledged and thanked publicly.

Designating contributions towards specific equipment items can be done throughout our fundraising efforts. Unless you prefer to stay anonymous, the Fundraising Subcommittee will follow-up to confirm which item/s once the donation is made.

Members can donate for naming rights on the following items:

  • Theatre seating on the main level for game viewing - 144 seats - $500/seat
  • Tables on the main floor - $1,000 each or $1,500 for "family legacy donations" - 12 tables
  • Viewing screens - 20 - $500 each
  • Rocks - 32 new rocks - $200 each
  • Lockers - $100 each

Involvement Beyond Contributions: Beyond the Dollar

Our campaign isn't just about financial contributions. We encourage members to share their ideas, suggestions, and enthusiasm for the new facility. Additionally, consider joining our Fundraising Subcommittee, where your insights and passion can drive this campaign forward at every stage of our Club's transformation.

Call-to-Action:

Head over to NSTF Donor Platform (credit card link) and be part of this exciting initiative! Please note that donations should be directed to “Mayflower Curling Club – New Facility Construction” on the website's drop-down menu.

We invite you to become a part of our transformative journey, where your contributions today lay the foundation for tomorrow. Let's band together to turn our dreams into reality, shaping a future that reflects the heart and soul of Mayflower Curling Club. Together, we can build a legacy that will be celebrated for generations to come.

The Mayflower Curling Club is a not-for-profit organization, governed by its Board of Directors as directed by the membership. The Board is made up of an Executive (President, Past President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and seven additional Directors (Membership, Curling, Day Ladies, Juniors, Property and Ice, Social, and Marketing).
